It is no difference from taking advantage of anything else, sometimes you might be taking advantage of your spouse without ever noticing.
HOW HUSBANDS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEIR WIVES: they use this statement as a weapon "am the HEAD of the family". Yes of course, but you are not a wicked master that take advantage of his servant(wife). Sending her too many errands is not right, there is no fault doing it yourself or helping her with house chores. Even though she doesn't have a Job, but she still wakes up 4:00am to take care of the house and sleeps at 11:00pm. You are a working class that works for long hours and following it up by a beer or several at times with the guys. Then you get home, not engaging her or the children instead you go to bed or loose your self in computer poker or complain about the messy house.
You expect her to do what you say and want always, she is a wife not a maid. Let her decide sometimes too.
You don't say sorry to her because you are the head so you are always right, all marriages have conflict, the refusal to apologize is a quick way yo destroy your home.
You don't say thank you because she can do anything for you, so no big deal. Thank you goes a long way.
You don't ask for her opinions and advise because people do say women don't know anything than money, so you lay your hands on it. Always give room to her opinions. She was made to organize.
HOW WIVES TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEIR HUSBANDS: you leave him to take all responsibilities, you even expect him to give you #50 to grind pepper, you expect him to give you #100 to buy detergent,what you only allow him to think off is how to get you materials. There is no where it is written in the bible that husband's should take all responsibilities. Most times we get false interpretations to God's words. There is also no fault in you helping him to carry some burdens, stop wasting your money on asoebi, shoes and bags(material things).
You pray that "my husband shall not die before me" don't kill your man before his time, it is not written in the bible that a man should die before a woman.
You always feel perfect when he is not around, whenever he comes you make him feel he can't tamper with your brain, you deceive yourselves with the statement "don't toy with a woman".
You pay more attention to your appliances than your husband, whenever he is talking to you then you know that he dropped his briefcase on the the washing machine, so you cut and accuse him. That is when he didn't put the kettle where he suppose to put it, another accusation and complaint. Don't make him regret ever helping you in the kitchen or house chores.
You transfer all your love to your children. You only tell your children you love them, can do anything for them, you only ask about their day. What about your husband, you don't want to know how he spent his day?
